When an Enrolment Form has been processed, a place in a Drama Group is reserved and you will be emailed or posted a Tax Invoice so you can reply with a payment to Drama Scene.

Additional Information:

* Please contact Drama Scene when any of your child’s personal details alter after an enrolment form has been processed.  Please also ring Stephanie’s mobile 0407 235 914 when your child will be absent or if there is ever any change in the arrangements you have notified for your child’s session departure. 

* Drama Scene uses original programs that respond to the interests and skills levels of Players developing core creative, practical and performing arts skills and scaffolding process and performance techniques.   Our rolling curriculum means Players may join at the commencement of any program.

*  Players are presented with certificates of achievement or reports highlighting progress and Outcomes.  Please contact Drama Scene Head Coach, Stephanie Waites, to discuss your child’s progress or participation in a program at any time.

*  Groups may be given the opportunity to participate in a short demonstration of acquired skills in a workshop open class for parents and friends or a public performance. 

*  Players attending after school sessions may bring a small snack and drink that are quick to consume for afternoon tea.  (Drama Scene supports child safety guideline of children not sharing their food.)

* For movement and safety, Players may be asked to remove their shoes for some drama sessions.

YEARS 3/4-6 Drama Group                        TOPIC: Jump Into The Scene  
Jump into scenes using scripts from real television drama series and films and practise building stories by writing and editing your own scenes for camera then see yourself on playback.  Take your acting skills to new levels through drama games and role play and develop better vocals by recording voiceovers for commercials. Our specialist Coach, Camilla, has developed this unique course to suit young people with diverse drama interests, talents and experiences.                               We play in the Hall and Library at Glenmore Road Public School, entrance from Cambridge Street, Paddington.                                                                                                                     Drama Coach meets GRPS Kindergarten children at their classrooms when school ends.       A Drama Coach meets other children outside the School Hall.                                                If you would like to pack a ‘drama snack’ for your child, they can join everyone else and quickly have something to eat for their afternoon tea before we start our drama sessions at 3:45pm.                                                                                                                                      K-2 Players receive a sticker as they leave Drama Scene when the Coach farewells them with an appropriate adult.   Dismissal is from the Glenmore Road Public School hall door, (near Cambridge Street entrance) or Glenmore Rd P.S. children can be escorted by their Coach to After Care at The Cottage. 

YEARS K-2/3 Drama Group                                TOPIC: Jump Off The Page                                        Using drama games, costumes and BIG picture books, we will bring storybook characters to life!  Developing core drama skills with a focus on imagination, concentration and interpreting words & picture narrative, Players learn to use mime, movement, voice, improvisation and teamwork to create characters and explore good storytelling.  This term will conclude with a ‘sit & see’ session for family and friends.          We play in the Hall and Library at Glenmore Road Public School, entrance from Cambridge Street, Paddington.                                                                                                Drama Coach meets GRPS Kindergarten children at their classrooms when school ends.    A Drama Coach meets other children outside the School Hall.                                If you would like to pack a ‘drama snack’ for your child, they can join everyone else and quickly have something to eat for their afternoon tea before we start our drama sessions at 3:45pm.                                                                                                                                     K-2 Players receive a sticker as they leave Drama Scene when the Coach farewells them with an appropriate adult.   Dismissal is from the Glenmore Road Public School hall door, (near Cambridge Street entrance) or Glenmore Rd P.S. children can be escorted by their Coach to After Care at The Cottage.

3-6 DRAMA GROUP
TUESDAYS, This group is for all Primary children.
3:00pm - 4:10pm in the library                  Term 3 Topic: Jump Into The Scene                                  Children enrolled in After Care go there at 3:00pm as they will be collected by a Drama Scene Coach and taken back there after drama.                                                              Other children at 3:00pm collect their bags & meet a Drama Scene Coach on the steps near the drink bubblers outside the school hall.  (They may bring a small snack that is quick to eat for ‘snack & chat’ afternoon tea). Dismissal is on the ‘grey carpet area’ outside the library at 4:10pm. Children must be collected by an adult or permission sent to Drama Scene if they are allowed to travel home alone.
 
K-2 After School Drama Group
TUESDAYS, This group is for children taken home at 4:10pm.
3:00pm - 4:10pm in the library                  Term 3 Topic: Jump Off The Page                                        Children at 3:00pm collect their bags & meet a Drama Scene Coach on the steps near the drink bubblers outside the school hall.  (They may bring a small snack that is quick to eat for ‘snack & chat’ afternoon tea). Dismissal is on the ‘grey carpet area’ outside the library at 4:10pm. Children will receive a sticker as they depart and they must be collected by an appropriate adult.

K-2 After Care Drama Group
TUESDAYS, This group is for children enrolled in After Care.
4:15pm – 5:15pm in the library                 Term 3 Topic: Jump Off The Page                                        Children enrolled in After Care go there at 3:00pm as they will be collected at 4:15pm by a Drama Scene Coach and taken to the library for their drama session.  At 5:15pm they will be escorted back to After Care.  Please note, if you need to pick up your child before 5:15pm, you need to sign them out of After Care and pick up their bag etc. before coming to collect them from Drama Scene in the school library.

A Drama Coach meets Players in the Courtyard outside the Kindergarten classrooms at 3:15pm.  Please pack a ‘drama snack’ so that your child can join everyone else and quickly have something to eat for afternoon tea before we start our drama sessions.  Dismissal is from Paddington Public School Kindergarten Courtyard (near Watson Street entrance) or Paddington P.S. Players can be escorted by their Coach to the After Care within Paddington P.S. Players receive a sticker as they leave Drama Scene when the Coach farewells them with an appropriate adult.
