2 Monday Groups @ Forest Lodge P.S. Steph Waites has written unique programs and trained experienced Drama Coaches. PROVIDED: All costumes, art, craft and performing materials. REQUIRED: Enrolment Form information must be processed by the Drama Scene office BEFORE your child can attend any Drama Scene session. ENROLMENT - Visit the Enrolment Page or contact
When an Enrolment Form has been processed, a place in a Drama Group is reserved and you will be emailed or posted a Tax Invoice so you can reply with a payment to Drama Scene (all fees are due in full by week 4 of the drama term).

PAYMENTS: Additional Information: * Please contact Drama Scene when any of your child’s personal details alter after an Enrolment Form has been processed. Please also ring Stephanie’s mobile 0407 235 914 when your child will be absent or if there is ever any change in the arrangements you have notified for your child’s session departure. * Drama Scene uses original programs that respond to the interests and skills levels of Players developing core creative, practical and performing arts skills and scaffolding process and performance techniques. Our rolling curriculum means Players may join at the commencement of any program. * Players are presented with certificates of achievement or reports highlighting progress and Outcomes. Please contact Drama Scene Head Coach, Stephanie Waites, to discuss your child’s progress or participation in a program at any time. * Groups may be given the opportunity to participate in a short demonstration of acquired skills in a workshop open class for parents and friends or a public performance. * Players attending lunch time sessions will be encouraged to finish eating their lunch during Drama time if they have not done so before a session start and we will incorporate this into our activities. (Drama Scene supports child safety guideline of children not sharing their food.) * Players attending after school sessions may bring a small snack and drink that are quick to consume for afternoon tea. Term 1 TOPIC: The Drama Scene A fun term to start the year, full of games and activities that cover “Our 5 C’s” – Creativity, Confidence, Communication, Coordination, Concentration” and show that drama is for much more than playing and putting on plays. All Players will experience different activities every session including; games to warmup & encourage important drama skills (physical controls and teamwork), story building, costumes and character discovery with movement & mime, voice modulation & projection, acting and scene building through improvisation, puppetry, mask. The aim of this variety is to introduce new ideas to all and to encourage each child to discover and display individual drama interests. From this range we can then design the Term 2 topic to best suit this particular group and your child will have discovered if drama is an activity that gives them a ‘sparkle in their eye’. When keen, they can continue into Term 2 with place secured in the group, using a Rollover Enrolment. A Drama Coach meets children on the steps outside the school Hall when school ends. (Kindergarten children can be collected from their Teachers by a Drama Coach.) Children who go to F.L.A.S.C.A. have their names ticked off there first and then come to the drama meeting place outside the Hall. Please pack a ‘drama snack’ so that your child can join everyone else and quickly have something to eat for afternoon tea before we start our drama sessions (time for a drink and toilet visit too). Dismissal is from the Hall door or children are escorted by the Coach to F.L.A.S.C.A. by a Drama Coach at 4:15pm. Children receive a sticker as they leave Drama Scene when the Coach farewells them with an appropriate adult. TUESDAY

Children are met in the top playground at 2:55pm and escorted by a Drama Scene Coach to the library for drama sessions. (They may bring a small snack that is quick to eat while the drama roll is marked). On wet weather days, children are met at the top of the stairs near the going home waiting chairs. Dismissal is on the ‘grey carpet area’ outside the library at 4:15pm. Children must be collected by an adult or written permission sent to Drama Scene if they are allowed to travel home alone. Children enrolled in After Care will be taken to After Care by a Drama Scene Coach at 4:15pm. If you wish to pick up your child early on drama days, please sign them out of After Care and collect their bag from there before coming to the library to collect them from drama.

KINDERGARTEN Drama Group Wednesdays, 2:55pm – 3:30pm TERM 1 starts 8 February
FEES: $70.00 + GST = $77.00 Enrolment Form must be processed before joining a group. Go to Enrolment Page. At 2:55pm, Coach, Steph, will meet Players at the Kindergarten classrooms. (Children enrolled in OoSCH are guided to hang their bags there before drama.) At the end of drama at 3:30pm, children enrolled in After care will be given a sticker by the Coach and sent to OoSCH. Dismissal is at 3:30pm for everyone else from the classroom door. Children will receive a sticker as they leave so that the Coach is certain they have departed with a listed adult. (Children enrolled in OoSCH should put their bag there and sign in there first). There is a 10 minute break for snack and toilet so please pack a ‘drama snack’ so that your child can join everyone else and quickly have something to eat for afternoon tea before we start our drama sessions. Dismissal is at 4:30pm from this classroom door. Children enrolled in After Care will be escorted to OoSCH at 4:30pm, all other children will receive a sticker as they leave so that the Drama Coach is certain they have departed with an adult listed on their Enrolment Form.

Drama sessions play in a classroom within Taverners Hill Infants School. Parking is available in surrounding streets and the best entrance is through the playground gate in Railway Street (between Queen Street and Elswick Street), Petersham – just off Parramatta Road and up the road from the Petersham Railway Station. When drama ends at 5:30pm Players must wait inside with the Drama Coach until collected. Please provide written permission if you would like a student to meet you outside or travel home unaccompanied. (Players may arrive before 4:30pm and watch or assist with the yrs 1&2 group if that suits your schedule.)

St Brendan’s Catholic Primary School – ANNANDALE – since 2003 3 Drama Groups & 1 Dramadance Group The Principal or Playground Duty Teacher makes an announcement on Drama Scene days so that children are aware they have drama and Stephanie meets Players at their classrooms or lunch spots to walk with them to the space being used for drama. (We ensure the program fits in with the schedule of school activities and that the children participate in a full number of sessions in a Drama Scene term program.)

 Yrs 1-6 DRAMADANCE TERM 1 Topic: Song Scene Develop teamwork skills and an understanding of story building by creating original plays using characters, narrative and expressive movements, inspired by a range of music styles and songs. No singing or dance experience is necessary as Dramadancers will develop coordination, rhythm, focus, pitch and cooperation. If your child is already is also doing Lunchtime Drama, the cost of Dramadance is $88.00.  |
